Product and Collection Troubleshooting

Use this article for common product, collection, filter, and search issues.

Filters Are Not Showing

  1. Open the collection template.
  2. Confirm Enable filtering is turned on.
  3. Check Shopify Search & Discovery filter settings.
  4. Confirm products have data for the filters you enabled.

Sorting Is Not Showing

  1. Open the collection or search template.
  2. Enable Sorting.
  3. Save and refresh.

Product Ratings Are Not Showing

  1. Confirm a review app is adding Shopify standard rating metafields.
  2. Check that the product has rating data.
  3. Enable rating display on the product card, product section, or related products section.

PDF Download Is Not Showing

  1. Confirm the product has a value for custom.pdf_download .
  2. Confirm the File download block is added to the product template.
  3. Save and refresh the product page.

Product Images Block Is Empty

  1. Confirm the product has values for custom.product_images .
  2. Add the Product images block to the product template.
  3. Save and refresh.

Product Recommendations Are Not Showing

  1. Confirm the recommendations section or block is enabled.
  2. Add complementary product data in Shopify if using complementary products.
  3. Allow Shopify time to generate related product recommendations.
