Cart Page and Cart Drawer

Array includes a cart page and cart drawer experience.

Cart Page Blocks

The cart page supports:

  • Subtotal: Shows the cart subtotal area. The Subtotal text setting controls the label, such as Subtotal   or Estimated total  .
  • Order note: Lets customers add a note to their order. The Note label setting controls the field label, such as Order notes  , Delivery notes  , or Special instructions  .
  • Checkout button: Shows the checkout call to action. The Button text setting controls the button label, such as Checkout   or Proceed to checkout  .
  • App blocks: Lets compatible apps add content to the cart page.

Configure the Cart Page

  1. Open Online Store > Themes > Customize.
  2. Use the page selector to open Cart.
  3. Open the Cart page section.
  4. Add, remove, or reorder blocks.
  5. Edit subtotal text, note label, or checkout button text.
  6. Save.

Cart Drawer

The cart drawer opens when customers add products or click the cart icon, depending on the theme behavior and settings.

Use the cart drawer to let customers review their cart without leaving the page they are browsing. This is useful for keeping the shopping flow quick, especially from collection pages or featured product sections.

Array includes cart-related product support. These recommendations can help customers discover additional products before checkout.

If related products do not appear, Shopify may not have enough recommendation data.

Cart Setup Tips

  • Keep the checkout button easy to find.
  • Use order notes only if you genuinely need customer instructions.
  • Test cart quantity changes with products that have limited inventory.
  • Add a product to cart from a product page and a collection page to confirm the cart experience works as expected.
