Video Player

Video player supports Shopify-hosted video, YouTube, and Vimeo video.

Configure Video Player

  1. Add Video player.
  2. Add optional text.
  3. Choose a Shopify-hosted video or enter a YouTube/Vimeo video.
  4. Set autoplay, loop, mute, and controls.
  5. Choose fluid width if needed.
  6. Adjust padding.
  7. Save.

For autoplay, videos should usually be muted.

Section Settings

  • Fluid width: Lets the video use a wider layout. Use this for visual brand films or campaign videos.
  • Text: Optional supporting text above or near the video. Use this to introduce the video or explain what customers are watching.
  • Shopify-hosted video: Select a video uploaded to Shopify. Use this when you want the video managed inside Shopify.
  • YouTube or Vimeo video: Add an external video URL. Use this when the video is already hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.
  • Autoplay: Starts playback automatically. Autoplay should usually be used only for silent, decorative video.
  • Loop: Repeats the video when it reaches the end.
  • Mute video: Mutes the video by default. Keep this enabled when using autoplay.
  • Show controls: Shows play, pause, and other video controls. Keep controls enabled for videos with sound or important content.

Spacing is controlled using the shared padding settings. See Section Spacing and Padding.

Tips

  • Use either a Shopify-hosted video or an external video URL.
  • Autoplay should usually be paired with Mute video.
  • Keep controls enabled if the video includes audio or important content.
