Custom Liquid

Custom Liquid lets you add custom Liquid, HTML, or embed code to a section.

Use Custom Liquid

  1. Add Custom Liquid.
  2. Paste your code into the Custom liquid field.
  3. Choose whether the section is full width.
  4. Set color scheme and padding.
  5. Save.

Custom code can affect layout or performance. Test changes before publishing.

Section Settings

  • Color scheme: Sets the section background and text colors around the custom content.
  • Custom liquid: Field for Liquid, HTML, app snippets, scripts, or embeds. Use this for small custom additions that are not available as standard sections.
  • Full width: Lets the custom content span the full available width. Enable this for full-width embeds or custom layouts; leave it off for content that should align with the normal page width.

Spacing is controlled using the shared padding settings. See Section Spacing and Padding.

Tips

  • Use Custom Liquid for trusted code only.
  • Duplicate the theme before adding third-party code.
  • If a third-party embed breaks the layout, remove the section and contact the embed provider.
